The Nissan Altima has been what many fans and enthusiasts know as the standard for American drivers who wanted a solid vehicle that was also perfect for the family since the 1993 model year. It is a vehicle that has withstood the test of time and only manages to get better as it has always provided numerous great features and outstanding fuel economy. Regarding the 2023 model year Nissan Altima, production continues and brings some unique cosmetic updates and significant changes to safety and drivetrain features. These are some of those changes!
The 2023 Nissan Altima is the continuation of its sixth generation with some beautiful cosmetic changes that make it stand out from its previous years and other cars in general. Car and Driver reported that the ‘23 Altima is taking impressive, sharp-edged styling and adding a new front fascia engraved with Nissan’s brand-new logo, LED headlights, and even new wheel options. It will also offer buyers an upgraded 12.3-inch infotainment display, which will be available on all trim levels except the base trim. The 2023 Altima will also receive two new colors to its colorway options for the exterior with Garnett Pearl Metallic and Gray Sky Pearl.
Updated Safety Features
Regarding safety, Nissan has always made it a priority when adding features to its vehicles. The ‘23 Altima is no different, with Nissan adding a list of available safety features for this model year. The list of features for the 2023 Altima will now include the following standard and available features:
- Automatic Emergency Braking (standard)
- Rear Automatic Braking (standard)
- Lane Departure Warning (standard)
- Blind Spot Warning (standard)
- Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (standard)
- High Beam Assist (standard)
- Adaptive Cruise Control (available)

- ProPilot Assist – Nissan’s semi-autonomous drive mode (available)
The 2023 Nissan Altima will come standard with a 2.5L four-cylinder engine and also allows buyers to choose the optional 2.0L four-cylinder engine turbo with its mated CVT transmission. The Altima also brings a unique feature that many vehicles do not have, all-wheel drive. The Altima will also offer an EPA-estimated 26mpg in the city and 36mpg on the highway. The company indeed went the extra mile to make sure that the company’s all-wheel drive option for the Altima still had excellent fuel economy. For even better fuel economy, buyers can opt for the front-wheel drive option to get an EPA-estimated 28mpg in the city and 39mpg on the highway.
The Altima is the best choice for families as it is a safe and reliable vehicle with features many cars today do not offer. With a starting price of $27,945 (Plus Destination Fee), the Altima is an affordable sedan, priced even lower than the Toyota Camry and the Honda Accord, that still offers features usually offered in higher-end vehicles. The 2023 Nissan Altima truly has it all.
