Nissan and Turo Partnership Lets Drivers Take A Spin For The Long Haul

Nissan and Turo Partnership

Usually, the process of buying a car involves finding a car, going to the dealer, taking it for a quick test drive, and repeating until finding the best one.

Nissan’s new partnership with Turo will undoubtedly mix up this dance. Turo is an American peer-to-peer car-sharing company that allows private car owners to rent out their vehicles via an online and mobile interface.

This new partnership will allow shoppers to take the car for a not-so-quick spin by enabling shoppers to test-drive the vehicles for a few days.

These cars will come from the city of Los Angeles and Salt Lake, and the Northern New Jersey area from 40 dealers.

The reason for allowing drivers to take a multi-day trip rather than a few minutes is because Nissan thinks that this will help potential buyers get a better feel and experience of the car, allowing them to truly see if it fits his or her lifestyle.

This trial is called the Nissan Experience Test Drive and will be limited to their current trial area for the time being. If the trial period turns out to be successful and results in the potential buyer purchasing the vehicle, the buyer will get $300 back to them. The live program is expected to expand to Canada in the near future.

2020 Nissan Altima

Regardless of whether you currently live in a “trial-city” or not, the 2020 Nissan Altima is certainly worth taking for a spin. Drivers will quickly see that the new design is filled with all kinds of gadgets and gizmos for infotainment as well as safety features.

The fuel-efficient engine provides 188-horsepower with a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder. It has good acceleration and can allow drivers to go as far as 600 miles or more on the highway, making it more than clear that this one of a kind vehicle is the one to beat!

Advanced Features

  1. The Active Ride Control feature comes standard on all 2020 Altima models. This feature can help to smooth out otherwise bumpy rides by automatically adjusting engine torque and applying the brakes in order to reduce or eliminate the body motions that come with these speed-control measures.
  2. Never leave little Jimmy in the car again! The rear-door alert system activates when loading a child or pet in the back seat and will remind you to remove your little one…or furry one from his or her seat once you reach your destination.
  3. The Pro Pilot Assist controls the adaptive cruise system and lane-centering assist technology. The adaptive cruise control helps to maintain a safe distance from traffic ahead while the lane-centering assist technology helps to keep the vehicle centered in the middle of the lane.
  4. Last but not least, on our list of many state-of-the-art features is the Door-to-Door Navigation system. This feature includes route pre-planning, complimentary map updates and mobile integration. It even provides walking directions to your final destination should you need to park quite a distance from your destination.

Exterior and Interior

The exterior comes in many colors such as Super Black, Brilliant Silver, Gun Metallic, Glacier White, Storm Blue, Deep Blue Pearl, Scarlet Ember Tintcoat, Pearl White Tricoat, and Sunset Drift Chromaflair.

The interior has new Zero Gravity front seats, which comfortable cushions help to reduce stress and fatigue.
