The upcoming 2020 Nissan Armada is set to provide families with a vehicle that not only handles driving across normal roads easily, but it can also surge off-road as well. The Armada supplies seating for eight passengers and offers a spacious cargo. An attractive looking, sleek SUV is highlighted with best-in-class standard 390 horsepower and 394 lb-ft of torque from a 5.6-Liter Endurance V8 powertrain and rugged body-on-frame design that adds top-notch durability. The 2020 Nissan Armada also adds best-in-class towing of up to 8,500 pounds when properly equipped.

Wide Range of Trims

Drivers have a total to four choices in either four or rear-wheel-drive. The base-model, SV, begins at $47,100 MSRP (Plus destination fee), followed by the SL, which starts at $54,900 MSRP (Plus destination fee), followed by the upper tiers Platinum, beginning at $60,530 MSRP (Plus destination fee) and finally, the trim with all the bells and whistles worth mentioning, the Platinum Reserve, starts at $65,030 MSRP (Plus destination fee). To add four-wheel drive, customers can expect an add on of $3,000.

The 2020 Armada gives off the impression of a sturdy appearance thanks to its V-motion grille, standard LED low-beam headlights, halogen high beams and LED daytime running lights. Drivers can appreciate the modern styling. Each Armada includes front fenders that serve as functional air intake vents. Heated anti-dazzle side mirrors with memory include puddle lights. Bold combination lights in the rear include LED taillights.

Special Packages Drivers Can Appreciate

Nissan has packed a ton of Armada packed with a lot of options for buyers. Owners can opt for the brand new 22-inch Wheel Package ($2,250) that adds 22-by-8-inch 14-spoke forged aluminum-alloy wheels wrapped in rugged all-season tires. Heated outside mirrors are now standard across all trims. The Endurance V8 engine is paired to an advanced seven-speed automatic transmission with high-end features including Adaptive Shift Control (ACS), Downshift Rev Matching and manual shift mode. ASC shifts easily to a low gear depending on the slope of the road, using engine braking to lower the frequency of manual braking. This is one of the nice perks of the Armada that is perfect for long commutes.

New packages also include the Platinum Reserve Package ($4,500) that gives owners new 22-inch 14-spoke wheels. Included are Platinum Reserve exterior badging, dark chrome grille and door handles, dark chrome rear license plate finisher, power heated as well as folding dark chrome side mirrors with turn signals. A luxurious contrast with its premium two-tone leather seating with contrast stitching, open-pore wood-tone and Black Quartz (gloss black, on the center stack as well as the center console) interior trim, and Platinum Reserve interior badging. Front- and second-row seatbacks were embossed with Platinum Reserve.

Drivers can select the Welcome Light Package ($395) that adds light fixtures for the area beneath and around the vehicle, simply with the press of a lone button on the key fob or the entry button. The light fades in and out with the dome light if the door is opened. The stainless-steel kick plates with illuminated Armada logos ($390) highlight the entrance and protect the front sills. This new package also supplies a wood-tone trim. The power-folding third-row bench folded flat into the floor for more cargo space. A large moonroof with tilt front and slide rear panels add an option for natural light.

Passengers Will Love the Armada

Complete with awe-inspiring technology, the Armada is a superb choice for families that go on long drives. Dual-Zone Automatic Temperature Control system with microfilter included a second-row curtain vent to pass cool air to every seat. Heated and cooled front seats, heated steering wheel and heated second-row seats are standard across each 2020 Armada.

The second row carry A/C controls on the back of the front console, along with seat controls, power outlets and volume controls for the standard DVD Family Entertainment System with 8.0-inch monitors on the front headrests, USB and HDMI ports, two wireless headphones (with three surround modes; cinema, music and game) and remote controller. The headphones and controller are stored under the rear center console.

A highlight for music lovers is the Bose audio system with 13 speakers. Included is standard Nissan Navigation with Nav Traffic Real-Time Traffic Information and SiriusXM Travel Link. Passengers have five USB ports, including three 12-volt and one 120-volt outlet. A spacious interior includes up to 95.4 cubic feet of available cargo space. We provided all the useful information to know how great the 2020 Armada is to own. Care to know more?
