The 2021 Nissan Armada will see a new look for customers to embrace. The latest spy shots have revealed the new appearance, despite the covering attempt by Nissan. The refresh for the 2021 model year represents a new look with a more “V” like design that will help the Armada fit in with the other new Nissan vehicles. The Nissan Armada will gain a new front and rear fascia design as well as some other changes to its appearance. Allow us to break down the changes we’ve gathered from various sources about the future of the popular Nissan Armada SUV.

Changes Inside and Out

Keep in mind, the 2021 Armada is also going to have changes to its powertrain. Most likely, Nissan might look to add the same engine being added to the 2021 Nissan Titan. That massive engine is the 5.6-Liter HEMI V8 that is paired with a new nine-speed automatic transmission. The perks under the hood of the Nissan Armada will be revealed soon enough, as will the rest of what the Armada truly offers soon enough. As far as what we can make out from the spy shots that have leaked on the internet, we can spot the differences customers have wanted. The interior of the vehicle will see a new control knob that has been moved behind the gear selector to add space for the new dual-screen infotainment system. All-new digital displays, a new touchscreen, and center control are being added for the Armada.

Sleeker Armada Expected To Arrive In 2020

Looking at the Armada with its new lights and changed grille, the appearance looks more attractive than the previous model year. The new headlights are taller and potentially wider than before and LED running lights are placed on the top and bottom edges. The top edge of the headlights and the grille are raised more than previously, nearly to the top edge of the hood, thus giving the whole nose a larger and more noticeable look. In the middle of the grille, there seems to be a more bold “V” design to help the Armada fit in with other modern Nissans such as the Altima. At the back, the taillights have been redesigned and could be a bit wider than the old ones. Another change is the loss of the chrome edging, but that might be available with a new package or higher trim that hasn’t been revealed yet.

Armada Not the Only Nissan Vehicle Gaining A New Refresh

Being a simple refresh, we would expect to see the new Armada revealed fairly soon in order to get it on sale by the end of the 2021 model year. It’s possible that it will get a powertrain update via the Titan, meaning 400 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque from the 5.6-liter V8 and the addition of the new 9-speed automatic transmission.
