Nissan Titan Run To End Soon, Maxima Pricing Released

2021 Nissan Titan XD

Nissan is proud of their 2022 Nissan Frontier, as the vehicle has replaced the Nissan Titan as their focus in the pickup segment. The midsize Titan pickup is now reported to see its run end. Unlike the Frontier, receiving a massive overhaul in year 17, the Titan will not have the same path. Nissan is going to remove the Titan and hasn’t named a replacement. The Nissan brand is headed towards a very electrified variety for customers, so this move could be to save on resources to make those new EVs. Nissan has not stated when they will officially end the Titan pickup production run. The news of the loss of a Titan nameplate will be a let down for some, but Nissan is poised to make impactful changes in the automotive industry.

Nissan Titan To See Run End

The Nissan Titan was a hot ticket item four years back in 2017. Nissan sold 52,924 Titan vehicles that year and hit over 50,000 the following year, but the landscape changes fast like professional sports athletes, vehicles rarely keep a nameplate around for decades. The refreshed Nissan Titan sold 26,441 vehicles in 2019, before the pandemic hit and sales have only gone under and the Nissan Frontier has stolen most of the buyers for this once popular Nissan vehicle. The pickup landscape might want more options from the Nissan brand, so don’t discount an all-new vehicle to unfold for their ever-changing Nissan lineup.

Nissan Sedan Receives Honor From J.D. Power

For those looking at the sedan market, Nissan has just announced their 2022 Nissan Maxima will begin at $37,240 MSRP (Plus destination fee) and this vehicle will remain the flagship sedan for customers. SV, SR, and Platinum trims make up the trim listing for the luxurious Maxima. The Platinum adds heated rear seating as a nifty feature for the Maxima, as each trim gains leather-appointed seats, available Nissan Door-to-Door Navigation and NissanConnect Services, powered by SiriusXM. Nissan adds a new Scarlet Ember Tintcoat body color paint to replace the Carnelian Red. The Nissan Maxima was named as a best overall model in J.D. Power’s 2021 Initial Quality Study for 2021.
